Le Mob Recording Studio
Le Mob Studios
Le Mob Studios is a classic vintage Neve London recording studio. Located in North West London near Kensal Green tube.
The control room is stacked full of vintage outboard but what makes this studio special for producers and engineers, is the famous Neve console that was built around 1969 (originally for the BBC). The console has thirty four 1272 mic pre’s, twenty eight 1070L EQs and six 1081 EQs. It is completely hand wired with class A discrete electronics throughout. The console epitomizes the unique sound quality and character associated with bespoke recording equipment from this era.
The control room is comfortable and spacious, with very accurate monitoring provided by Tannoy super gold 10’s with a Mastering Lab crossover, Genelecs, NS10′s and an Auratone. Combining the best of Analogue and Digital equipment, there is outboard from companies such as Neve, Urei, Polygram and Pye and a 40 output Pro Tools HD3 Accel system with a large selection of plug-ins.
The live area is perfect for live band recording or overdubbing, with a spacious live drum area and two versatile guitar isolation booths. On top of this, for further isolation, there are two Amp boxes so bands can record completely live.
Add to this an array of backline equipment including a Mapex drum kit, Yamaha upright piano, various guitar amps, a Wurlitzer piano and a few synths and this studio has everything a band will need. All they need to do is turn up. (although it helps if they have a few songs ready).
For clients who wish to drive there is free onsite parking.
