Victor Van Vugt is a writer/producer/mixer. He spent his teenage years cutting his teeth with some of the great Australian artists of the time including Nick Cave, The Triffids and The Go-Betweens.

The success of these bands brought him to London where he found himself working with some of the great artists from around the world, including PJ Harvey, The Pogues, The Fall, Sonic Youth, Einstrüzende Neubauten and Depeche Mode…. even meeting his match with Lee Scratch Perry.

Victor continued to look for a diverse range of artists to keep him interested and challenged. His main love is the power of a great song and he has produced and mixed many genres with ease, as he focuses on capturing the strength of the song and the individual greatness of the artist.

He moved to New York City in the late 90’s where he continued to work with a wide range of artists from around the world including Athlete, Beth Orton, Cat Power, Chrissie Hynde, Mercury Rev and Gogol Bordello. With his newly set up studio, offers of mixing came and he used his years as a producer as a great background to making great mixes.

He’s had a string of hits and critically acclaimed records along the way. Selling millions and winning awards including a Grammy, Brit Awards, Mercury Prizes, ARIA’s and even a Polish Fryderyk!

A few years ago he moved to Berlin and set up his new studio at Riverside Studios where he continues to write, produce and mix music, work in film, and develop music for television shows.
