The Lookout Residential Studio
The Lookout residential studio is a brand new residential studio located 20 minutes along the coast from Brighton and is hidden away, overlooking the South Downs national park. The studio was conceived and is owned by producer Andy Barlow (from the band Lamb) and is used for his production work. The complex consists of a residential house and studio, 2 acres of land and some outlying additional accommodation for larger groups.
The studio is a digital studio and consists of a spacious, day lit, awesome sounding control room and a good sized booth which houses the piano and can also fit the Ludwig house drum kit when required. The studio comes with a powerful Mac and any DAW can be installed prior to the session. There are plenty of plug-ins including the full UAD suite. Ins and outs are provided by UAD Apollo interfaces. Monitoring is through two sets of PMC’s and some larger Genelec 1238A speakers that have been tuned by Genelec to the room. The studio also comes with a great selection of instruments, synths and microphones making it the perfect place for artists to write their tracks.
The Lookout Residential Studio also makes a great location for writing camps. With numerous rooms for writers to take their laptops and work while making use of the fact that the studio can sleep up to 20 people and provide full catering.

The Lookout Accommodation
The Accommodation consists of a house, a cabin and in summer months a large bell tent. The property sit's on two acre’s of land and directly backs onto thousands of acres of pristine national park. The property and all the additions have been designed to benefit from stunning views from every seat in the house - it really is a peaceful creative retreat.
The friendly warm kitchen is made for socialising. Like most of the rooms it has garden/nature views. It benefits from underfloor heating, a super comfy sofa and lies adjacent to the studio.
The main house can sleep up to 10. There are two double bedrooms on the ground floor and there is a pull out twin bed in the lounge. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with a kingsize bed and stunning views. There are also two optional single pull out beds. There is also a cosy and quiet double loft room.
In the garden epic cabin there is a king size private bedroom and a studio with sofa-bed. The epic space has an impressive studio lounge and dining space with a solid hand-crafted kitchen, dedicated lounge space with wood burner and an optional sofa bed. It also has its own shower room & WC.
In the summer months if you want to go rustic you can use the luxury bell tent which can sleep 6 with two double beds and two single beds.
In the garden there is a large patio at the front, complete with furniture, which is perfect for al fresco dining. This indoor / outdoor space is further benefited by a gas BBQ and an outdoor fridge. The garden also features a large luxury outdoor hot tub & a beautifully crafted covered relaxation deck, raised to take in the magnificent views, a 2 person hammock, tables and chairs dotted around and the new fire pit and yoga/viewing deck area.
