The Hideaway Residential Studio
Hidden in the heart of a green conservation area, The Hideaway Studio is a brand new residential recording studio setup by Imogen Heap. The studio is located in The Round House, built in 1792 and considered an important local landmark. The studio can be rented with the house and / or a production space in The Barn.
The studio is the perfect writing and recording escape. Equipped around an 8 channel Rupert Neve 5088 console, Protools HDX with Apogee Symphony I/O. There is a useful selection of outboard, microphones and plug-ins and a great collection of instruments and percussion, courtesy of Imogen, including Array Mbiras, Vibraphone, Hang Drum, Marxophone, Waterphones, string instruments from all over the world, tuned percussions, drum kits, rattly toys, synths and gadgets.
The control room is daylit and spacious, perfect for groups of writers to collaborate in. Musicians can either record in the Control Room or benefit from some of the acoustics of the elliptical house by using some of the other rooms in the house which are tie-lined to the studio. Alternatively if you want to setup a writing camp the Hideaway is perfectly suited with its many rooms where writers can bring their portable setups and start making great music in a wonderful setting.

The Hideaway House
Built in 1792, The Round House is a Grade II* Listed Building originally designed to be a family home. Its unique elliptical shape provides a cosy environment surrounded by tranquil landscapes. With only horses for neighbours it is the ideal setting for a quiet and relaxing creative retreat.
Six bedrooms are available, including one designed for children, whom are welcome (supervised) in the house. Across four storeys you will also find a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a lounge, several living spaces and two bathrooms.
Parking spaces for up to 15 vehicles.
High speed Wi-Fi throughout the whole house.
The Fireplaces are in good working order and can be lit and topped up on request.
Our onsite team are available to help around the studio and also with all aspects of daily life and can accommodate your every need.
Catering can be provided to suit your needs, from simple snacks at break times to fully catered and served breakfast, lunch and dinners.
The Hideaway Barn
A 255m² modulable production and filming space is available at walking distance from the house and offers kitchen and bathroom facilities as well as a staging area. The Barn can be hired in conjunction with the House for production and accommodation purposes. The barn makes an ideal rehearsal studio space for bands and touring artists or for the Producer that likes to get creative they can wheel in their studio and create a one roomed rehearsal and recording space.
